January 28, 1965 – January 23, 2021
On January 28 th , 1965, a baby boy was born to Ada Lee & Johnny Lee Bowens. They affectionately named him Aaron Lee Bowens.
After receiving his education at Checotah High School, he worked at Fountain Head State Resort for 9 years. Before his health failed, he worked more than 20 years doing bridge reconstruction work with PBX Corporation. He had the ability to fix most things mechanical. He liked fast cars and motorcycles; enjoyed fishing, hunting and especially playing dominoes.
Aaron loved spending time with friends and family. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, and his kind heart.
Preceding him in death is his mother, Ada Lee Bowens.
To cherish his memory is his father Johnny Lee Bowens of Wichita, KS. His children, Patricia Clark (Larry) of Ft. Smith, AR and Deserae Bowens of Tulsa, OK. His sister, Caroline Bowens of Checotah, OK and his brother, Emmett Scott (Vicki) of Tulsa, OK. A very special friend and first cousin, Billy Dukes. Four grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will miss him dearly.
Visitation only, Thursday, January 28, 2021 in the Precious Memories Chapel of House of Winn Funeral Home-Muskogee, during the hours of 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Interment, Friday, at 11 a.m. in Warrior cemetery, Checotah, OK.
The family has been cared for by House of Winn Funeral Home-Muskogee.
