Adam Daniel (PENHYTE) Anderson, Sr., was born July 15, 1925 to Daniel Anderson and Ida Collins in Lenna, OK. He grew up in the care and guidance of Ennie and Ruth Graham, where he enjoyed good cooking and the excitement of rodeos.

Pen accepted Christ at an early age. He joined the Pilgrim Baptist Church and later united with the Holy Temple House of Prayer, Grayson, OK; under the direction of Pastor Carrie Lewis in 2000 until his passing.

Pen had a good life. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He was united in marriage to Ruby Alford in 1947. This marriage was later dissolved.

One of Pen's favorite quotes, "Time Waits for No Man, it Moves On."

He went home to be with the Lord, Friday, August 19, 2016.

Pen leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Adam D. Anderson, Jr., of the home, Scoby A. Anderson, Zenobia (Johnnie) Staggers, Leon (Sharon) Anderson, Truman Anderson, Barbara Reynolds, Terry Howard and Howard "Speedy" Anderson, along with a host of other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.

A Home Going service is scheduled Saturday, August 27th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church, 1001 E. Chicago, Okmulgee, OK. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Grayson, Ok. Military Honors performed by Ft. Sill Honors Team and the Muscogee Creek Nation Honor Guard.

Visitation will be Friday, August 26th, 2016, 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in Precious Memories Chapel, Okmulgee, OK.
