Obituary

Alberta Lenora Walton was born November 6, 1952 to the late Willie D. and Lenora (Strickland) Walton in Texarkana Texas. Alberta's family later moved to Tulsa Oklahoma where she graduated from Central High School Class of 1971. She attended Job Corp in Guthrie, Oklahoma where she met the love of her life Kenneth Lee Lang. The two joined in holy matrimony in 1972. From this union 6 beautiful children were born. Alberta gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church for many years before becoming a devoted member of The Word Christian Church. Alberta served as a Sunday school teacher, secretary, and treasurer. She loved to read her bible, sing and tell people about the Lord. , but her favorite pass time was spending time with her children and grandchildren and praying with her grandson EJ (The Cook). Alberta was an intelligent woman who continued her education, graduating from Texarkana College and Texas A&M University. After working many years, Alberta enjoyed her last years in retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her siblings and her grandchildren. She lived her BLESSED life!

Alberta was a delightful person to be around. She could bring a smile to anyone's face. Even through her pain when you'd ask her how are you? She would reply, "I'm blessed and highly favored" A favorite quote of hers and her sisters.
