On February 25, 1961, McKinley T., and Bertha (Bodry) Lewis gave birth to their baby girl. They named her Angela Faye Lewis.

"Angel", better known by her family and friends, was raised in Okmulgee and graduated from Okmulgee High School. She accepted Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church-Central, Eastside Baptist Church; where she sang in the church choir, and later in life became a member of St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church.

Angel was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. There was nothing that she would not do for her family. Angel served as a caregiver to her family for several years. She had a heart for children while working in childcare and taking care of her many nieces and nephews. She had a skill of mastering baked chicken and her fresh garden salads. She enjoyed picking wild onions, greens, and fresh vegetables. She loved daily walks out on the track and spending time with her grandchildren, DJ, and Marley.

Angel had a smile that was so big and bright that will be forever missed and cherished.

Angela Faye Lewis drifted into a peaceful slumber of eternal rest on July 2, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma with her daughters by her side. Angel is preceded in death by her father, McKinley T. Lewis, and her mother, Bertha (Bordy)Lewis, Sisters, Ethel Mary Ann Merritt, Betty Jean Wilson, Joann Lewis, and Diane Lewis Ross.

She leaves in God's care; her children Erik Lewis of the home; Stacey Jordan and Kimberly Jordan of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Her grandchildren, Dantron Jr., and Marley Barnett. Her Siblings; Rev. Leman Lewis and Rolinda Collins, both of Okmulgee; along with a caravan of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A Home Going Service is scheduled, Saturday July 13, 2024, 11:00 a.m., St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church, 1001 E. Chicago Street, Okmulgee, OK; with Pastor McKinley Rice, eulogizing. Interment will follow in Hoardsville Cemetery, Henryetta, OK.

Visitation will be Friday, July 12, 2024, 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
