Annie Mae (Edmerson) Alexander was born on December 26, 1954 to Amos James Edmerson and Martha Ann (Johnson) Edmerson. She was the youngest of four to this union.

Annie grew up in Morris where she attended Morris Public Schools. Annie was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes, and gardening. Annie loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Annie met the love of her life, Andrew Lee Alexander in 1979 and after many years of courtship, married on February 17, 2012. They raised four children, Angela Edmerson, Martha Edmerson, Andrew Edmerson, and Stephanie (Edmerson) Lofton. After a courageous battle with cancer, Annie passed away peacefully surrounded by family.

Preceding her in transition are her loving husband and soulmate of 39 years, Andrew Alexander; her parents Amos and Martha Edmerson.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her four Children, Angela Edmerson, Martha Edmerson, Andrew Edmerson (Junebug), Stephanie Lofton (Kay Kay); her siblings, Ethel Edmerson, Harrie Edmerson, Amos Edmerson, and Clifford Allen. 17 Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Many friends to whom she considered family.

A Home Going celebration will be conducted, Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the Big Cussetah United Methodist Church, 20554 Prairie Bell Road,  Morris, OK. Interment will follow in Big Cussetah Cemetery.

Visitation, Friday, December 13, 2019, in Precious Memories Chapel at House of Winn Funeral Home-Okmulgee, during the hours of 1:00 P.M. until  5:00 P.M.
