Wherefore it has pleased our Lord and Saviour to call from labor to reward our beloved Arlene Bernice Wright, who departed this life on Saturday, March 31, 2018 in St. Francis South Hospital in Tulsa, OK.

Arlene, daughter of the late Alexander Corbbrey and Alice, was born September 30, 1933 in Haskell, OK. She was educated in Haskell, OK; and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, Haskell, OK.

She professed of love for Christ at an early age.  She was a longtime member of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Haskell, OK; where she served as a Sunday school teacher and choir member for many years.

Arlene met and married Charles B. Wright.  This union was together 24 years until her passing.

Arlene worked as a custodian.

Arlene loved life. She took pleasure in caring for her daughters, Connie, Belva, Suree, and Neno. She loved cooking and reading her bible. Arlene proved her love for others with the demonstration of her affectionate care for her family.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents,  her sister, Elizabeth, her brothers, Floyd and Alexander and daughter, Suree.

Those left to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Charles B. Wright, daughters, Connie (William), Belva (Willie) and Neno, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren, her brother, Joseph (Silvenia) Sr., her nieces and nephews, Teresa, Alex Jr., Cynthia, Zena, Joseph Jr., Mark and Linda, her daughter-in-laws, Jennifer and Jackie, other family members, Loretta, Gerald and Joe, a special friend, Phint Gross along with numerous family and friends that will miss her.

A Home Going Service is scheduled, Friday, April 6, 2018, 11:00 a.m., Precious Memories Chapel, 2200 Military Blvd., Muskogee, OK.  Interment will follow in Booker T. Washington Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
