Barbara Denise Akinosi was brought into this world on November 11, 1962 in Okmulgee County, OK; to the proud parents William and Bobbie (Taylor) Barnett.  She was one of eight children born to this union.

Barbara attended Okmulgee Public Schools and graduated from Okmulgee High before she matriculated to her secondary education in Management.

Denise loved cookouts and live music.

She professed a love for Christ at an early age.  Her love for Christ continued through adulthood.

She went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, March 30, 2025.

Preceding her in death are her parents, 1 sister, Sandra Faye, 5 brothers, Larry, William Jr., Michael Ray, Steven Ray and Terry Lee.

Those left to cherish her precious memory include her remaining siblings, two sisters, Brinder J. (Billy) Reagor and Lynda D. (Marvin) McDonald along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends that will miss her.

A Home Going Service is scheduled, Saturday, April 12, 2025, 11:00 a.m., Lone Tree Missionary Baptist Church, 18250 S. 350th Road, Morris, OK; with Pastor Stacy Phillips, delivering the eulogy.  Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Okmulgee, OK.

Visitation will be Friday, April 11, 2025, 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

The family has been cared for by  House of Winn-Okmulgee.
