On July 9, 2026, Bernadine Lowe peacefully gained her heavenly wings, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and family that will continue for generations.

Bernadine was born on October 29, 1932, in Cathey, Oklahoma, to the late Theodore, Sr. and Versie (Edward) Fulsom. She later met and married the love of her life, Rev. Albert Lowe. Together they shared 57 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on faith, love, and family. They made their home in Muskogee, Oklahoma, where they lovingly raised their six children: Sharlotte, Alvin, Judy, Larry, Barthel, and Albert.

Bernadine devoted her life to her family as a loving wife, homemaker, and mother. The Lowe family united with Little Rose Baptist Church, where she became one of the church’s eldest members. She was so devoted to her church that she was honored as the Mother of the Church, a title that reflected the love, wisdom, and guidance she shared with generations of members. She also maintained a special love for her husband’s home church, New Hope Baptist Church in Huttonville, Oklahoma. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she dearly loved her kittens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Albert Lowe; daughter, Rev. Sharlotte McBride; infant son, Alvin Lowe; grandson, Tyrus McBride; great-grandchildren, Tyler McBride, Tyson McBride, Tia McBride, Tamara McBride, and Acari’Kye’Andre Lowe; her parents, Theodore, Sr. and Versie Fulsom; four sisters, Rosetta Frederick, Mary Woodley, Anne Fulsom Mitchell, and Margaret Tolbert; and one brother, Walter Fulsom.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Judy Lowe-Campbell; three sons, Larry (Cynthia) Lowe, Barthel (Candi W.) Lowe, and Albert David Lavon (Tomika) Lowe; her cherished grandchildren, Lettecia Lowe, Jay (Alicia) Campbell, Corey (Esmeralda) Lowe, Anjoli Campbell, Kedron Lowe, and Breann (Dwight) Irving; 17 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and the incredible blessing of witnessing five generations of her family. Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren were among her greatest joys. She celebrated their accomplishments, prayed for them faithfully, shared her wisdom with them, and loved each one unconditionally. The memories they shared with their grandmother will forever remain treasures in their hearts, and her love will continue to guide future generations.

She also leaves behind her siblings, Bobbie Clark, Theodore (Barbara) Fulsom Jr., and Gary Fulsom; her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charles (Geneva) Lowe, Helen Ivory, and Nora (Melvin) Watts; along with a host of loving nieces and nephews, with special recognition to her devoted nieces Tina and Gina, as well as numerous cousins, extended family members, dear friends, and her beloved church family, all of whom will forever cherish her memory.

Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice knowing that Bernadine’s race has been well run. Her faith was steadfast, her love was genuine, and her legacy will continue through every generation she helped shape. Her life was a living testimony that with God, all things are possible.

Bernadine’s spirit will forever remain our guide, our comfort, and our inspiration. "His master replied 'Well done, good and faithful servant." Matthew 25:23

A Celebration of Life is scheduled, Saturday, July 18, 2026, 11:00 a.m., Rayfield Baptist Church, 601 Indianapolis Street, Muskogee, OK; with Rev. David Ragsdale III, delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in Paradise Cemetery, Checotah, OK.

Visitation will be Friday, July 17, 2026, 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at House of Winn-Muskogee

A Wake is scheduled Friday, July 17, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
