Obituary

On September 17, 1930 Pierce, OK - Ragle and Nellie Greenleaf-Goudeau were blessed with a daughter, Blissteen Goudeau (nicknamed Bess).

On July 14, 2017 - Tulsa, OK at age 86, Blissteen Goudeau Jackson departed this world to Everlasting Life, experiencing joys we can't imagine and reunite with love ones gone before her - Sons Walter & Ronnie J. Jackson, Great Grandson Darryon Hassan Roland, former husband Grant Jackson Jr., Parents Ragle and Nellie Goudeau, Siblings - Ethel, Jeff, Newmon, Henry, Raymond, Louise & Cecil Goudeau.

Bess found God as a young adult and was baptized in 1959 at Mt. Olive Star Baptist Church, Bess was also a member of the Missionary Society. Blissteen was a person with an open heart, she loved her Family, Flowers and community and was a mother figure to many of her Nieces, Nephews, Son & daughters in-law.

Blissteen worked in the Pierce/Checotah, OK area from a young adult doing domestic and home health provider work until she retired.  After breaking her hip & needing around the clock care, Bess last resided at Grace Wood Nursing Home, Tulsa, OK until her death.

Blissteen leaves behind to celebrate her life:

Grandchildren - Kina Jackson-Jordon, Richard Jackson Sr., Kevin Jackson, Shantal Jackson-Keith, Jeffrey Davis Sr., DeToneya Warrior, Christopher Jackson, Lance Davis, Jasmine Jackson-Gafney, Jade Jackson, Jarran Davis, Grant Jackson IV, Shawndae Jackson, Kendall B. Jackson, Hassan Murray Sr., Jerica Jackson, Jakari Jackson, John Davis, Amber Jackson, Raymond Jackson II, Shallena Morris, Victoria Springfield, Trivette Speed, Patrick Brown, Kellie Brown, Wendy Spears, Michael Spears & Rebecca Spears.

A Home Going Service is scheduled Saturday, July 22, 2017, 11:00 a.m., First Baptist Church, 210 SW 2nd Street, Checotah, OK; with interment to follow in Warrior Cemetery, Checotah, OK.

Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

The family has been cared for by House of Winn Funeral Homes.
