On December 22, 1933, Bobbie Jean Johnson was born to Felton LaViolette and Carrie LaViolette in Nuyaka, OK. She was the 4 th of 5 children born to this union.
" In fact, also, when we were with you, we gave you this rule: If anyone does not want to work, neither let him eat." Thessalonians 3:10
Bobbie Jean was educated in Rosenwall school in Henryetta, OK. She worked at Garrison Garment in Bristow, OK for 20 years. She also worked at several clothing stores in Okmulgee, OK as well as the Okmulgee Public School system, retiring from Denette Clothing Store. Bobbie was very well known for how wonderful she dressed. Bobbie loved doing yard work, gardening, going on trips, cruises, and especially shopping at her favorite store NBC.

Bobbie was united in marriage to Forrest Johnson now deceased. To this union two sons were born, Reginald Johnson and Ray Johnson.

She accepted Christ and attended Shady Grove Baptist Church in Nuyaka, OK, New Salem Baptist Church and St. Matthews Baptist Church in Okmulgee, OK.
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4
On August 12, 2022, God called Bobbie Jean Johnson from labor to refreshment. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Onazel LaViolette, brother, Curtis LaViolette. She leaves to celebrate, her sons, Ronald and Ray Johnson both of Okmulgee, OK, brother, Raymond LaViolette, Detroit , MI, sisters, Orena Jones, Los Angeles, CA, Herlean Bird, Houston, TX, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Home going celebration will be conducted on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 10:00 am in the St. Matthews Baptist Church, 1001 E. Chicago, Okmulgee, OK with the Pastor of New Salem Baptist Church, Rev. Harold White, eulogizing. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Public visitation Friday, August 19, 2022 in the Precious Memories Chapel of House of Winn Funeral Home-Okmulgee during the hours of 1:00 pm to 5:00 PM.
MASK wearing is REQUIRED at the funeral SERVICE.
The family has been cared for by the House of Winn Funeral Home-Okmulgee.
