Booker T. Edmond, 66, a resident of the city, passed away, Tuesday, in Highland Park Nursing Home.
Booker T. was a cowboy who loved horses and had a special talent for training them. He taught many young people in the local area how to be good horseman. He was also a Country and Western singer who once opened for Reba McIntyre at the XIT Rodeo and Reunion in Dalhart, TX.
Booker T. Edmond, Jr. was born to Booker T. and Fannie Mae (Phillips) Edmond. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters; Lola Faye (Edmond) Green and Lanetta Faye McIntosh. He leaves to carry his memory; a daughter Arah Edmond of Oklahoma City, OK.; 4 brothers; Artie C. Edmond of College Station, TX; Bobby Edmond and wife Karla of Clyde, TX; Wayne Blanford and wife Calean of Bryan, TX; and Danny Edmond and wife Teresa of Stratford, TX. He also leaves 4 nephews;
Ray McIntosh, Jr., Ronnie McIntosh, Dwight Edmond, Jacob Edmond and 1 niece; Artesia Edmond. The family would also like to acknowledge Willard (Woochie) Williamson and Geneva Lewis as very special friends whom we call family.

Memorial services, will be conducted, Saturday, August 3, 2013
at 2:00 P.M. in Precious Memories Chapel, House of Winn Funeral Home.
