Bruce Wayne
Williams
Jul 13, 1966 — Sep 13, 2026
Tulsa
Bruce Wayne Williams was born on July 13, 1966 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Jane Marie Scott and Cornell Kenneth Williams.
During his formative years, Bruce attended Lindsey Elementary School and Munroe Junior High School. He later moved to Checotah, Oklahoma where he completed his high school education and graduated from Checotah High School. Following graduation, Bruce continued his education at Connors State College.
Bruce had a passion for working with young people and began coaching through Hutcherson YMCA. His love for coaching allowed him to travel to several places, form many meaningful friendships and create lasting memories. While coaching for Hutcherson YMCA, Bruce proudly led his team to win a national trophy in Reno, Nevada. He later continued sharing his knowledge and passion for the game by coaching AAU.
Throughout Tulsa, Bruce became affectionately known as “Coach,” while others lovingly called him “Bruno.” In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, barbecuing and spending quality time with his family. One of his special Thanksgiving traditions was smoking turkeys for his loved ones to enjoy.
Bruce leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother, Janet Chamberlin-Coulter, his sisters, Mercedes Turner, LaToya Chamberlin and LaMesha Townes, his brothers, Jamar Chamberlin and Corbin Chamberlin, his sister-in-law, Andrea Williams, his sons, KeVaughn Williams (Gabrielle), Reuban Williams, Donovan Partee, and Ethan Richardson, his daughter, Malaicha Williams (Jay), his grandchildren, Mya Conard, Marlee Conard, Madison Williams and Morgan Williams and the children he loved and cared for like his own: Ryane, Markejuan, Shayl, T.T., Tiffany, D.J. and Lauren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cornell Kenneth Williams, his brother, Antjuan Williams, and his son, Ja’Shawn Wlliams.
He also leaves to cherish his memory, his best friend David Woods, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.
Bruce’s dedication to young people, love for his family and passion for coaching touched many lives. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
