On March 17th, 1974 a beautiful baby boy was born to Heniretta Steele and James C. Dickerson. She named him Bryan Connell. He was full of life and every time you would see him he had a big smile. We all knew he was a special child, because at the age of 5 years old he would tell his Big Mama I see Jesus, and we would often hear him sing…"Oh When the Saints Go Marching In".

Bryan was loved by many and will be truly missed. He went home to be with the Lord, November 24, 2024.

He is preceded in Death by his father James C. Dickerson, his brother Mario Alexander, Grandparents A.V and Erma Lee Steele.

Bryan leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Heniretta Steele Fuller; (3) sons Jondontrye of Wagoner, OK; Bryan C. Jr of Muskogee, OK; and Christopher Carter of Tulsa, OK; Avery special lady Mikki Hooks, the mother of his children. Margaret Washington aunt / mother and Bonnie Smith and Audrey Braden very special aunties who he loved dearly. (2) brothers Cewanee Steele of Coweta, OK; and Jamal Shadid of Colorado. (6) grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A Home Going Service is scheduled Saturday, December 7, 2024, 11:00 a.m., Greater New Hope Church, 300 W. Commercial Street, Haskell, OK; with his uncle, Bro. Tony Ray Steele delivering the eulogy.

Viewing will be at New Hope Baptist Church before the service at 10:00 am until service time and the Final View will conclude the service.
