Carlton Dion Jones Jr. Affectionately known as "CJ" was born in St. Louis Missouri on March 8. 1977, to his parents, Antoinette Marie McNeil and Carlton Dion Jones, Sr. While his mother was in the military Carlton was raised by his grandmother, Alberta McNeil until he was 18.

Carlton was a lover of sports and played football and basketball in his high school years. He graduated from Eureka High School in 1997. Carlton also went to college at ITT Tech to further his education goals where he received his associates degree in computer science.

Early in life, Carlton accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and was baptized at the Zion Pentecostal Church in St. Lousi, MO. He rededicated his life to the Lord at The Brick Church in 2024 under the pastoral leadership of Pastor Jared Callahan.

Carlton was a man who understood the value of hard work and taking care of his responsibilities. He established himself early in his career in the fast food industry to the level of management where he managed Jack-N-The Box, Burger King, Freddys and Whataburger. He also worked in the security field at St. Lousi University in St. Lousi, MO for over 5 years.

On April 21, 2000, Carlton married his 1st wife, Tasheka Johnson where two children were born of their union; Eliyahu Dion and Gabbryella Shonte Maire Jones. Carlton relocated his family to Claremore, Oklahoma in 2010 but their marriage dissolved in 2018

In 2019 Carlton married his 2nd wife, Marilyn Caldwell where one son was born to this union, his namesake, Carlton Dion Jones III and stepson Isaiah and Israel Cardwell.

Carlton loved life. Some of his passions were gaming, sports, working and volunteering at his church, The Brick. Carlton never mt a stranger and loved people.

Carlton Jones was preceded in death by his Mother, Antionette Marie (McNeil) Johnson and his grandmother, Alberta McNeil.

Carlton leaves to cherish his memory his father, Carlton Dion Jones Sr., his Step-Father, Richard Charles Johnson, his wife, Marilyn Jones, their son Carlton Dion Jones III, and 2 stepsons, his children with Tasheka Jones, Eliyahu Dion and Gabbryella Shonte  Marie Jones, and 3 Goddaughters DeShonna, DeShyra and DeNijha, and his siblings who loved him till he took his last breath, his brother Maurice Johnson and his two sisters, Domina Pannell and Dominque Moss (Anthony) 2 step-sisters, Mariah Johnson and Taylor Johnson along with a  a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Carlton was truly loved by his family and friends. He will truly be missed. We love you CJ.

A Homegoing service is scheduled, Saturday, January 18, 2025, 2:00 p.m., The Brick Church, 1302 S. York, Muskogee, OK; with Rev. Rodger LB Cutler, eulogizing. Cremation to follow.

Visitation will be Friday January 17, 2025   House of Winn-Muskogee
