Carolyn Gill, a devoted pastor and faithful servant of God, passed away on May 20, 2023, at the age of 79. She was born on May 21, 1943, in Okmulgee, Ok. to Harry Cross Jr. and Elsie Louise Norman.
Carolyn dedicated her life to serving others and spreading the Word of Faith. She was the Pastor of General Assembly of the 1st Born Church, where she preached tirelessly, inspiring many with her unwavering faith and commitment to helping those in need.
She was passionate about seeing people delivered, healed, and set-free from the power of sin. Pastor Gill will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son Chad Stewart and daughter-in-law Lori Stewart, her granddaughters Jasmine Stewart, Jada Stewart, Shanté Stewart, Duandelyn Holland and her grandson Marcus Williams.
She is also survived by Karen Thompson, Sharon Brooks, Rodney McDaniel, Anita McDaniel, Angel Tuggle, Norma McDaniel, Sean McDaniel, Natalie McDaniel, Uncle Edward Stewart, and Ralph and Sheila Hooks.
Carolyn held so many she held close to her heart, including Brenda Stevens, Brittany Stevens, Janet and Sidney Henderson, Kendra Henderson, Hank Byrd, Keith Ohio, Janine, Edith Towns, Chanda Towns, Angela West, Matt and Summer Richmond, Elders Shafik and Beatrice Leonard, Pastor Allen Gooden and many others.
Carolyn's legacy of faith, love, and service to others will live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life.
Her family and friends will always cherish the memories they have of her and continue to be inspired by her unwavering commitment to God and her community.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted Thursday, May 25, 2023, 11:00 a.m., House of Winn Funeral Home, Precious Memories Chapel- Okmulgee 607 E 5th St. Interment will follow in Sharps Memorial Gardens.
Public viewing will be Thursday at the service.
