Obituary

Casey L. Jones of Newport, AR was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 7, 2020 at Harris Hospital.

Mr. Jones was born on November 27, 1928 at Olyphant, AR to the union of Fred Douglas Jones and Dolly Parks Jones. He was the ninth of twelve children.

Casey met and married the love of his life, Ernestine McClain in Covert, MI. Casey worked many years at Bohn Aluminum & Brass Corporation. His hard work soon earned him the title of supervisor. He always talked about making pistons for Ford, General Motors and Chrysler. Casey retired from Bohn Aluminum in 1980.

Casey was a faithful deacon of the Metropolitan Baptist Church in Muskogee, OK. In addition, Casey was a Master Mason with the Masonic Lodge in Covert, MI.

He moved to Newport in 2013. During his years in Newport, he became a member of the Greater Morning Star Baptist Church where he served on the deacon board under the leadership of Pastor Jerry Landrum until his heath failed. Although he was unable to attend church, he still read and studied his bible faithfully.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife (Ernestine), parents, Fred and Dollie Jones, sisters, Addie L. Boyce, Jessie M. Williams, Roger Bember, Jetta McSpadden and Rosie Jones, Brothers, David, Arthur, Fred Jr., James, Willie and Samuel Jones.

Casey leaves to cherish his memory one son, Millard Baker (Doris) of Chicago, IL, two grandsons, Jason and Jacob, one granddaughter, Jamillah, a sister-in-law, Juanita Jones of Covert, MI and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A special thanks to his nephew, Eddie, wife Shirley and niece Katrina Williams, and his niece Teresa and husband Joe Brown.

Graveside rites, Friday, September 11.2020 at 1:00 P.M. in Booker T. Washington cemetery, Muskogee,OK with Rev. Clifford Beasley, eulogizing. Visitation,  Friday  at funeral home beginning at 9 a.m. until 12 noon.

MASKS wearing mandatory at all services
