On January 16, 1942, a bundle of joy was delivered to Charles E. Anderson and Ruby Lee Harris in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. They named him Charles E. Anderson Jr.

Charles grew up in Okmulgee where he graduated from the historic Dunbar High School with the class of 1962. Upon graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Army until his discharge.

Charles later returned to Okmulgee, were he worked for Randy's Foods for 20 plus years. He was a man that enjoyed listening to his blues, fishing's, picking wild onions, but the biggest joy to him was spending time with his family.

With a big heart and courageous smile, Charles E. Anderson Jr. drifted into a peaceful slumber of eternal rest on May 25, 2024. Charles is preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Anderson Sr., and his mother, Ruby Lee Harris.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his three children, Lennon Ted Anderson Sr., Shairkka LaDonna Lewis, and LaTasha Denise Lewis. His special son, Marque Lamon Lewis. His grandchildren, Lennon Ted Anderson Jr. "BJ", Mercedies Lennta Anderson, Deontae Da'Shawn Anderson, Wilbert Lamon Rivers, Marqueis Damon Lewis, Jacoby DeMarrio Lewis, and LaBron Marque Lewis. His sisters, Velma Mass and Da'Lois Poole. A host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A Home Going Service is scheduled, Saturday, June 8, 2024, 11:00 a.m., Eastside Baptist Church, 217 N. Osage Street, Okmulgee, OK; with Pastor Marcus Jeffrey, delivering the eulogy.  Interment will follow in Sharps Memorial Garden Cemetery, Okmulgee, OK.  Visitation will be Friday, June 7, 2024, 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

The family has been cared for by House of Winn Funeral Home- Okmulgee
