Obituary

On September 25, 1952 a baby girl was born to Herbert C. Asberry and Lula M. Freeman. She was given the name Charleszetter by her great grandfather Sam.

Charleszetter grew up and was raised by her grandmother Velma in New York City.

She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age in her life, and received her education while living in New York City.

After the illness of her grandmother they moved to Kansas City, MO, where she became very close to her cousins. The Watkins brothers and Butch was her favorites. The later on they moved back to Oklahoma.

Charleszetter met and married the love of her life Artis Harris (aka Moose). Unfortunately no children were born to this union. However they were blessed to raise a sibling Crissy (sister/daughter) and their family continued to grow.

Crissy gave birth to two sons Landon and Wonnie. However Charleszetter being the proud grandmother and aunt. She took the first grandson as her own. Charleszetter loved him more than life itself.

Charleszetter retired from St. Johns in Tulsa, OK. On November 15, 2021 peacefully transitioned from time and entered eternity.

Charleszetter was preceded in death by her husband Lee Artis, her parents, her grandparents, and one grandson Wonnie.

Charleszetter leaves to cherish her memory: 1 stepson Michael; 1 grandson Landon; 5 sisters Crissy, Darcell, Darlene, Emma, and Kim; 3 brothers Wallace Jr., Troy, and Patrick; 4 sister-in-law's Pat, Arlene, Mary and Barbara; 2 aunts Evelyn Wheat and Florastene Burks; 2 uncles R. L. Wheat and Sam Freeman along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins extended family and friends.

A Service of Memory will be conducted on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Precious Memories Chapel/House of Winn Funeral Home-Muskogee, 2200 Military Blvd, Muskogee, OK.

Mask wearing is encouraged at all services.

The family has been cared for by House of Winn Funeral Home-Muskogee.
