Obituary

Charlie Mae Lewis was born on July 11, 1939 to Charlie and Sylvia Antwine in Nuyaka, Oklahoma. She was the oldest of six children born from this union. She attended school in Nuyaka, OK and later  Wheatley School in Beggs, OK. Charlie Mae was raised on her family's farm where she learned her life skills in Gardening, Agriculture, and Homemaking. Later in life she met and married her late husband Sterling Lewis Sr. where they raised their beautiful family together.

She was a pillar of strength, love, and kindness to all whom she knew. A selfless Mother to 11 children, but a Mom to many. The back bone of her family and a confidant to all. A source of comfort and inspiration to her children who referred to her as their  "Rock", always there to offer support and guidance through life's challenges. If you ever had a problem or needed advice she was always there, willing to lend an ear and hand. She was known for her warm & loving nurturing spirit.

Charlie Mae is survived by her children Aaron Williamson, LaVarn Antwine, Angela Antwine, Anthony Antwine, David Antwine, Charlene Lewis-Barsh, Rodney Lewis, Linda Lewis, LaTonya Lewis and Brandy Lewis, her sister Alice Richardson, her brother Burnis Antwine, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.

She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who left us all way too soon, as she was called home by the Lord on May 30, 2024. Charlie Mae is preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Sylvia Antwine, her husband Sterling Lewis Sr., her brothers Howard Antwine, Curtis Antwine, and Herman Antwine, her daughter Mervel Brooks, her granddaughter Makia Anderson, her grandson Steven Ray Brooks Jr., her great grandson Cam'Ron Owens, her great granddaughter Aiyanna Carreira and host of other family members.
