On November 15, 1952, a bouncing baby girl was born to Willie Grover and Bobbie Lee Mabery in Eufaula, Oklahoma. They named her, Charlotte Louise Mabery. She was the youngest of six children.
She moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma at an early age, she attended Douglas Elementary, Sadler, Jr. High School, Manual Training High School and graduated from Central High School.
She professed a love for Christ when she joined St. Mark Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Theodore Hickerson. After graduation she moved to Jersey City, New Jersey.
Charlotte was blessed with two beautiful children, Judson Mabery and Samantha Mitchell. She later moved to New York and married Samuel Mitchell. As time progressed Charlotte moved back to Muskogee, OK; to re-establish a new life. She moved her membership to Deans Chapel Baptist Church under Pastor Don Dumas. As a faithful member for several years, she was a janitor, choir director, attended Bible study, Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Every year she would host the Annual Musical with her late husband, Elder Franklin Tate. They also put together a festive menu for this event, that would include: Turkey & Dressing, home grown Greens, Brown Beans, homemade Cornbread and Tate Fried Chicken, which was thoroughly enjoyed.
Charlotte's last four years on earth she united back with her home church, St. Mark Baptist Church, under the direction of Pastor Rodger L.B. Cutler.
Sis. Charlotte Tate also studied Cosmetology and became a licensed Welder.
She enjoyed life to the fullest. She love spending time with her 12 grandchildren.
Charlotte went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 28th, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her granddaughter, Audrey Mabery and great-granddaughter, Ka`Leigh Dawn Mabery.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her son, Judson Boyette Mabery, Toccoa, GA; daughter, Samantha Mitchell, Muskogee, OK; 12 grandchildren, Cavion Milton, Gavin Mitchell, Delton Mitchell, Pepita Mabery, Judson Gonzales, Keisha Gann, Kiara Mabery, Raheem Mabery, Miles Johnson, Maleah Johnson, Julian Fomby and Yuri Mabery, her siblings, Willie Mabery, Pauline Cotton, Norma Mayfield, all of Muskogee, OK; Josephine Drew, Jersey City, NJ; Michael Mabery, Broken Arrow, OK; along with a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.

A Memorial Service is scheduled, Thursday, July 5, 2018, 10:00 a.m., St. Mark Baptist Church, 1020 S. 2nd Street, Muskogee, OK; with Rev. Rodger L.B. Cuter offering words of comfort.
