Christella was born to the union of Lois and Nathaniel Lewis the 30 ^th day of October 1951 in Temple, Texas.

Christella gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was a member of the Eighth Street Baptist Church, Temple, TX.

"Chris" as she was affectionately called by those close to her, atteneded Dunbar Jr./Sr. High School, Temple, TX. She went onto to nursing school and worked as a Registered Nurse for twenty-five plus years.

On the 12 ^th day of May 1990 God joined Christella and Chester in marriage.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel & Lois, siblings, Lavern, Shirley and James.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband, Chester Grant, daughters, Kalaundra McDonald, Kandace McDonald, Monique (Paul) Jackson, granddaughter, Samaritan Ari Jackson, step-children, Sharon, Greg, Chester Allen, Tonya, and Shelley, several step-grand and great-grandchildren, siblings, Annette (John) Wilson, Barabara Ann Winn, Melba (Floyd) Rogers and Carl Lewis, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
