Clarence Franklin Givens Sr., age 85, a resident of Muskogee
passed away, Friday, Dec. 5, 2014 in Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center.

Clarence Franklin Givens Sr. was born February 15, 1929 to Clarence Silas Givens Sr. and Eula Alva Perry Givens in Purcell, OK. Clarence was one of nine children born to this union.

Clarence accepted Christ at an early age. He studied the Bible and lived a life for Christ.

Clarence received his formal education in Muskogee, OK. He graduated from the historic Manual Training High School with the class of 1947.

Clarence served his country honorably in the United States Army. He would later retire from Brockway Glass in 1994.

He loved baseball, Oklahoma Sooner Football, Oklahoma City Thunder, gardening, and reading National Geographic magazines.

Clarence was a quiet man. He loved his family and many called him Daddy!! He Never met a stranger and if you met him, you left knowing you had a new friend who would be there for life.

Clarence Franklin went home to be with the Lord, December 5, 2014.

Preceding him in death are his parents, brothers, Virty B. Givens, and Virgil Givens, sisters, Norene Givens McCurty, Louamer Givens Bradford, Winona Givens Brackeen and one grandson, Dustin Givens.

He leaves to cherish memory, his wife, Lillian B. Givens, his children, Zontennia (Tina) Garner, Earnestine (Chris) Morris, Phil Givens, Randolph Givens, Clarence Givens Jr., Anthony C.Givens and David P. Givens, sisters, Marverine Givens and Nora Givens, brother, Orville P. Givens, 23 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild along with other relatives and friends that will miss him.

A Service of Memory will be conducted, Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014
in Faith Deliverance Christian Center at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow in Booker T. Washington Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
