Obituary

Claudette Loraine (Mack) Motte was the first child born to William and Gladys Mack on July 12, 1932.

Claudette was a lifetime member of Uganda Martyrs Catholic Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir and the Ladies Auxiliary Club.  She graduated from Dunbar High School with the class of 1953.  After graduation, she attended Tuskegee University where she studied nursing.

She returned home to marry the love of her life, Lawrence P. Motte., better known as, "Billy".  Claudette worked in nursing for a couple of years before having children.  After the children were older, she returned to work holding several positions for Wal-Mart before retiring in 1992.

Claudette loved canning, cooking, reading recipe books, fishing, and her favorite past time-watching westerns.  But most of all, she enjoyed shopping.

Claudette was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her sister, Geraldine Wilson, San Diego, CA; five children, Patricia Ward (Kenneth), Tulsa, OK; Dwayne Motte (Jean), Okmulgee, OK; Tracie Bates (Lonnie) Tulsa, OK; Mary Gail Palmer (Timothy), Tulsa, OK; and  Ellis Patrick Motte, Tulsa, OK;  fifteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Funeral Mass is scheduled Friday, February 17, 2017, 10:00 a.m., Uganda Martyrs Catholic Church, 808 E. 3rd Street, Okmulgee, OK; Father Joshua Litwack, Celebrant.  Interment will follow in Beggs Cemetery, Beggs, OK.

Visitation will be Thursday, 1:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m.. A Rosary will follow at 6:00 p.m. in Precious Memories Chapel.

The family has been cared for by House of Winn Funeral Home.
