Clifford Hammon, 69, retired lumber yard salesman, a resident of Okmulgee, OK; passed away, Sunday, September 28, 2014 in Muscogee Creek Nation Medical Center.
Clifford Eugene Hammon Sr., was born August 28, 1945 in Okmulgee, OK; to Herman and Will Ella (Woods) Hammon.
Clifford Sr. was a lifelong resident of Okmulgee, OK. He was employed at T.H. Rogers Lumber Company for 42 years.
He was a faithful member of Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ for most of his life.
Clifford Sr. met and married a beautiful young lady, Carolyn Y. Hicks and to this union three children were born.
Clifford Sr. loved to sing. He was a member of the Okmulgee Male Chorus.
He went home to be with the Lord, Sunday evening, September 28, 2014 in Muscogee Creek nation Medical Center.
Preceding him in transition are his parents, Herman Hammon, and Will Ella (Woods) Hammon, two brothers, and a sister.
He leaves to cherish his memory, Clifford Hammon Jr., Donna Hammon, and Crystal Hammon, all of Okmulgee, OK; Regina Hammon, and Renae Hammon, both of Atlanta, GA;Herman Hammon, Lawton, OK; Hermila Fowler, Francine Adams, and Rebecca Barnett, all of Edmond, OK; Jay Dee Hammon, Marvin Hammon, and Janice Franklin, all of Okmulgee, OK; 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Home Going Celebration will be conducted Saturday, October 4, 2014, 1:00 p.m., Eastside Baptist Church, 219 N. Osage, Okmulgee, OK; with Rev. Marcus Jeffrey, eulogizing. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
