Obituary

Clyde Edward Hall was born on August 25,1940 in Haskell, Oklahoma. He was the oldest of eight children born to Joe and Elnora Williams Hall. Clyde was the first grandchild of the Williams family, and he was adored by his grandparents, his aunts and his uncles.

Clyde attended school in Haskell, OK and Tulsa, OK. As a child, Clyde attended Church of the Living God in Tulsa, OK and as an adult in Los Angeles, CA.

In 1959 he graduated from Booker T Washington High School in Tulsa, OK.  Clyde moved to California soon after graduating High School.


On November 3, 1962, Clyde married the love of his life Beverly Scott and to this union four children were born, three sons and one daughter. Clyde and Beverly were married for 36 years before divorcing.


Clyde had many jobs when he first moved to California.  He retired from California Youth Authority in 1996 after working 20 years first as a Correctional Group Supervisor and later promoted to Youth Counselor.  Clyde moved back to Tulsa after his retirement where he lived the rest of his life.


Clyde was an excellent cook, and everyone enjoyed eating his delicious food.  He also enjoyed baking banana bread and bean pies.
Clyde loved watching sports on TV and later in life he loved watching MSNBC all day long.  He also loved playing Bingo, Bid Wiz and going to the casinos.


Clyde answered his Heavenly summons on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at 9:55 pm.


Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Lonnie, son, Gerald Hall, four brothers: Horace Herman Hall Sr., Joe Hall Jr., Ernest Hall and Anthony Hall.


He leaves to cherish his memory his three children: Rhonda, Clyde Jr. and Brian, three sisters: Barbara Hall of Inglewood, CA, Janett Hall Gauthier (Manuel) of Inglewood, CA, and Brenda Hall Lewis (Calvin) of Gardena, CA., ex-wife and the mother of his children Beverly Hall, eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren and host of nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends.


Although Clyde will be dearly missed, we know that the suffering has ceased, and he can now rest in peace with our Lord.

A Home Going Service is scheduled Wednesday, September 25, 2024, 11:00 a.m. House of Winn Funeral Home & Cremations, "Precious Memories Chapel", 2200 Military Blvd., Muskogee, OK; with Elder Elmer Moton delivering the eulogy.

Visitation will be Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
