On August 21, 1986 a beautiful baby girl was born to Doris Nero and Billy Joe Thompson Jr. She was named Courtney Kabree Thompson.

Courtney accepted Christ in her life at Cherryville Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Lacey K. Johnson Sr. She grew up there and was a very active member serving as Sunday School Secretary and a member of the Usher Board.

She attended Roy Clark Grade School in Tulsa, OK and Lewis and Clark Middle School in
Tulsa, OK. She graduated from Boynton High School with the class of 2004 and graduated from the Indian Capital Technology Center in Muskogee, OK; Certified in Culinary Arts. She then attended OSU Okmulgee.

Courtney was an avid basketball fan and her favorite past time was watching and attending the Oklahoma City Thunder and Tulsa Shock basketball games.

Courtney had a very sweet spirit and loved taking care of her nephews, Zachriah and Kreyo Nero.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Her Mother, Doris Nero, OKC, OK; Father, Billy Joe Thompson Jr., Muskogee, OK; Devoted Grandparents, Billy and Barbara Thompson Sr., Boynton, OK; one brother, Patrick Nero, OKC, OK; two sisters, Sharon Thompson, Phoenix, AZ and Ashlei Thompson, Tulsa, OK; three precious nephews, Zachriah Nero, Kreyo Nero, OKC, OK, Romeo Thompson, Phoenix, AZ; two special nieces, Kalise Thompson and Phallon Thompson, Phoenix, AZ; a special uncle and aunt, Lester and Sherri Thompson, Tulsa, OK and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and special cousins of Okmulgee and Tulsa.

A Home Going service will be Saturday, August 6, 2016, 11:00 a.m., Rayfield Baptist Church, 601 Indianapolis St. Muskogee, OK, with Rev. Lacey K. Johnson eulogizing. Interment will follow in Cane Creek Cemetery, Boynton, OK.

Visitation, Friday, 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Viewing before service Saturday, 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
