Cynthia E.
"Cindi" Parker
July 30, 1960 – December 10, 2021
Cheerful. Kind. Loving. Thoughtful. All appropriate sentiments to describe the essence of her.
Cynthia Ethelyn Stroughter was born on July 30, 1960 at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas. She always spoke fondly about her childhood memories growing up on Penguin Avenue in Oak Cliff. Affectionately known as "Cindi", she was always a beacon of light and friendship.
Upon relocating to Muskogee, Cindi attended Alice Robertson Junior High School where she learned to play the clarinet and excelled in band. She transitioned to Muskogee High School where she was band queen attendant and first chair clarinetist. She then attended Connors State College, graduating with an Associate's Degree and transferred to the University of Oklahoma. She returned to Muskogee and began working at the family business, where she worked over 25 years until its closure in 2016. During this time, she came to join Harvest Ministries Church. She looked forward to joining her church family often or to see how she could best use her talents to serve there. This came to be one of the most significant pleasures of her life.
Her greatest joy was her mother, Drucilla. "Mommy" was Cindi's greatest confidante and they shared so many special moments together. They would always be seen about town together, especially in Dillard's and Hobby Lobby. She loved spending time with her family, watching movies and playing trivia or board games. Cindi had a special love for her nephews and would check on them every opportunity she had.
Cindi was preceded in death by her mother, Drucilla Ragsdale; step-father, Ted Ragsdale, Jr.; and her father, Mac Stroughter. The family she leaves to mourn her passing are her sister Valerie Ragsdale-Aldridge; brother-in-law Harold T. Aldridge; nephews Drew Ragsdale and Quincy Ragsdale-Craig. A special sister Marilyn Parks, dear friend Alicia Beasley, her Harvest Ministries Church family and many friends who knew and loved her.
