Obituary

William Calton Austin Jr., was born on November 21, 1952 to Barbara Jean Cole Austin and William C. Austin, Sr. in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

William attended school at Manual Training High School, where he was an accomplished basketball player and graduated from Muskogee High School with the Class of 1972. After graduating, he attended vocational school and earned his certification as a machinist. He was a dedicated employee of Acme Engineering for over 30 years working as a machinist.

In 1978, he married the love of his life, Natacha Tucker, and to this union they had a daughter, Angela Renae, and two sons, William Allen and Jamie Calton. His six grandchildren were a great source of pride and joy. He loved to travel, and take cruises out of the country with his wife.

William was a people person, and never met a stranger. He loved playing dominos, cooking, roller skating, Nascar, and wrestling. He was also an avid gardener, and loved showing off the fruits of his labor. His greatest accomplishment was accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was baptized on the same day as his son William Allen on February 26, 1989. William loved serving his church as a deacon, beloved choir member, attending Sunday school, Bible Study and being a member of the Trustees and Board of Directors at Rayfield Baptist Church. William was also a proud citizen of the Cherokee Nation.

On May 26, 2026, William went home to be with the Lord and is now safe in the arms of Jesus.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Barbara Jean Morgan, William Austin, Sr., his grandparents: Joseph and Carrie Daniels Cole, King David and Marion Ross Austin; father-in-law Benjamin F. Tucker; brother-in-laws, Kevin Stephenson and Joseph Swift.

He leaves behind to celebrate his life and cherish his memory: his wife of 47 years, Natacha Austin, his daughter, Angela Sanders (Marrell), his sons, William Austin, Sr. (Renita) and Jamie Austin; his grandchildren: Brooklyn Farabow (Matthew), Madisson Sanders, Paiton Sanders, Allena Austin, Naomi Austin, William Austin, Jr.; his mother-in-law, Bettye J.
