On March 13, 1969 A beautiful baby girl was born to Rosetta Gist and LeArtis Harris. She was born the 5 ^th child.

DeAnn accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Haskell, OK. She loved fellowshipping with other churches, singing in the choir, buying shoes and always willing to give a helping hand with the kids and talking on the phone.

She graduated from Haskell High School in 1988 but enjoyed going to GED night classes with Mr. Franklin who was a very caring teacher.

DeAnn surrendered her soul to God on October 17, 2021 in Haskell, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosetta Gist and LeArtis Harris; Grandparents, Bennie and Mary Jane Gist, and Ollie Carson; Sister, Josephine Oliver; Brother-in-laws, James Durant Jr., and Earnest Houston.

DeAnn leaves to celebrate her memory, Sisters, Carolyn Houston, Letta Harris, Haskell, OK, Selina Durant, Angela Harris, Tulsa, OK, Carnita Oliver, Oklahoma City, OK; Brothers, Joseph Oliver, Summit, OK, Michael Akien, Muskogee, OK; Aunts, Lizzie Metcalf, Spencer, OK and Peggy Gist, Muskogee, OK, Patricia Gist (John), Tulsa, OK, Arlene Melenciano, Albuquerque, NM, Mary Carson and Barbara Jackson, Oklahoma City, OK; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Home Going Celebration will be conducted on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, 1401 N. Haskell Blvd, Haskell, OK with Rev. Jesse Gist eulogizing.  Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Haskell, OK. Visitation, Friday, October 29, 2021, during the hours of 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the House of Winn Precious Memories Chapel, Muskogee.

The family has been cared for by House of Winn Funeral Home-Muskogee.
