Deloris Chatman was born on August 30, 1948 in Beggs, OK; to the proud parents of Virgust and Reba Chatman.

Deloris attended Spring Bluff school and later Wheatley school in Beggs, Oklahoma. She graduated from Wheatley High school in 1966.

Deloris and Leroy Brown dated during high school.  After high school they were united in marriage. They celebrated the birth of two children, their son, Steven M. Brown and daughter, Monica L. Brown.  Monica passed away at an  early adult age, due to health problems.

Deloris and Leroy enjoyed life with their family. They lived  together in several cities in Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, and Iowa.

Deloris attended East Central University, while living in Ada, Oklahoma. She also taught our family to love and enjoy each other, and most of all love the Lord.

She went home to be with the Lord, November 22, 2024

Preceding her in death were parents and her daughter, Monica.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of the home, her son, Steven along with other family and friends that will miss her.

A Home Going Service is scheduled Saturday, November 30, 2024, 11:00 a.m., St. Matthew Baptist Church, 1001 E. Chicago Street, Okmulgee, OK; with her Pastor McKinley Rice, delivering the eulogy.  Interment will follow in Brown Family Cemetery, Beggs, OK.

Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
