Denogus George Thierry Sr., age 75, a long time resident of Okmulgee, OK, transitioned, Saturday, January 22,2022 in OSU Medical Center, Tulsa, OK, with family at bedside.
Denogus George Thierry , known as George, was born on April 8th, 1946 in Hoffman, OK. He was the last born to Mary and Talton Thierry. Denogus received his education at Oakdale Public Schools and graduated from Dunbar High School.
He was called to serve his country in the Vietnam Conflict in 1967 through 1969. Upon his honorable discharge, Denogus returned to Okmulgee, OK where he became a long time resident. He worked in several industries; however, the trucking industry was one of his major accomplishments.
In his time here on this beloved earth, he met and married Ruth Bird Thierry whom he shared three beautiful children. He was well loved by his grandchildren, his family, and friends. He was known to be playful and adored his many animals, especially his dog Scrappy. He was well loved by all around him. Denogus was a wonderful father, uncle and grandfather. He will be missed dearly.
Denogus George Thierry Sr, age 75, transitioned Saturday, January 22nd, 2022 in OSU Medical Center, Tulsa, OK. He is preceded by his parents Mary and Talton Thierry, his siblings, and his daughter Phyllis.
He leaves to cherish in his memory and homegoing: Ruth Bird Thierry, his two sons Phillip Williams of Desoto, TX and Denogus Thierry Jr of Okmulgee, OK, granddaughter, Micayla Ruff of Tulsa, OK along with several other grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A Service of Memory will be conducted, Thursday, January 27th, at 11:00 a.m. in the Precious Memories Chapel of House of Winn Funeral Home-Okmulgee with his son, minister Phillip Williams, eulogizing. Interment will follow in Sharps Memorial Garden. Visitation, Wednesday, Jan. 26th in the chapel during the hours of 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.
