Obituary

On June 27, 2000, DeVontae Marquez Hanson was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Angie Bradford. His parents, Rev. Lewis B. Hanson I and Geneva D. Hanson, were genuinely blessed with him at 2 months old. Under the leadership of his father, Rev. Lewis B. Hanson I, DeVontae joined Lone Tree Missionary Church at a young age 7 he was baptized. He always participated in all the church programs. DeVontae served as a junior deacon and sang in the children's choir under the direction of Kamilia Barnett.

DeVontae played basketball and baseball while he was a student at Preston Public School. In addition, he was a member of the Okmulgee Junior Football Association under the leadership of Collis and Ronnie Jones. DeVontae is a 2018 Beggs Demon Graduate.

DeVontae had a passion for training and riding horses. He was good at it, and his family, especially his father and brother, loved it. He was later able to buy his own horses as a result of the lessons he had learnt. DeVontae loved cars as well. DeVontae would help everyone and would always give you the truth if you asked him.

DeVontae's graduation with his CDL licenses was one of his biggest achievements. He was able to park and drive anything. DeVantae loved his children more than anything else, though. As a result of DeVantae's passion for horses, his son began riding at the age of two. Everyone that knew DeVontae will love and miss him, especially his children.

DeVontae leaves to mourn his Father Rev. Lewis B. Hanson I and Mother Geneva D. Hanson, biological mother Angie Bradford. His son Ezekiel Hanson Burgess, his daughter Kamalia Hanson. Siblings Theodishia Stephens (Donnie), Bettina Tennyson, Francis Motte (Ronnie), Oscar McLaurin (Nita), Lewis B. Hanson II (Lasonya), Princeton Hanson (Kimberly), Kendall Ray Hanson, Ja'Tavier Bradford, Talia Bradford, Julia Bradford, and his little sister Mariah Moore, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
