Reflection of Donza's Life

On Monday, April 30 ^th , 1990, a jolly baby boy was born to Romona Duckett Herrion and Eugene Settles.  He was the second oldest child of six children.

Donza always had a smile and was very respectful to everyone.  He grew up with his other siblings who he didn't mind giving a helping hand. He attended grade school at Hawthorne, Debra Brown, Union Middle School, and McClain High School.  Donza loved sports.

He gave his life to God at a young age.  Donza lived with his grandparents, who took him to church.  So, he knew the way.  Donza also had another family that he was very close to.  He calls them his God Parents, the McCaskell.  They took time out with him. But most important his birth mother, Romona, who loved him beyond words, so we all grieve in our own way, he touched so many lives at a young age.  Donza loved his girls, Mariah and Jayla.  He always tried to be there for them.

Donza was preceded in death by his brother, Dontay Settles, grandfather, Levin Releford and Johnnie, Wanita Herrion. He leaves to cherish his memory 2 daughters, Mariah, Jayla of Tulsa, OK, mother, Romona (Steve) Herrion, Tulsa, Father, Eugene D. Settles, Kansas City, MO, grandparents, Teresa (Roosevelt) Hall, Kansas City, MO Airmenat Obie and Edzar May, Kansas City, MO, 8 siblings, Demarco Releford, Stephanie, Devin, Samona Herrion, Tulsa, OK, Eugene D. Settles, Kansas City, MO, Steve, Demetra, Montwan Herrion, Tulsa, OK, host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Graveside rites, Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in Elmwood cemetery, 9th & Parkinson St., Wagoner, OK, with Elder Tony Maxville, eulogizing.

Visitation, Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in the Precious Memories Chapel, of House of Winn Funeral Home-Muskogee, during the hours of 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.

The family has been cared for by House of Winn Funeral Home-Muskogee.
