Obituary

Dwight Peters was born May 30, 1954, to Ralph and Erma Peters.

Dwight graduated from Carteret High School in Carteret, New Jersey, in 1972. He attended University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point located in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

He was a policeman for a short time. He moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and studied at the Spartan College of Technology and Aeronautics. He graduated with the class of 1988 and went on to work at Pratt & Whitney in Hartford, Connecticut, and as a mechanic for American Airlines. Later, he also worked as a truck driver.

Dwight married Glenda Snoddy in 2000. His son, Dwight Jr., was born to this union.

He was a member of St. John A.M.E. Methodist Church.

On January 5, 2023, after being blessed with Dwight's presence and love for 68 years, God saw fit to carry him from labor to rest.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Erma Peters; sister, Deborah Johnson; brothers, Ralph Peters and Bob Peters; and brother-in-law, Willard Pearson.

Left with precious memories are: his wife, Glenda Peters; sons, Dwight Peters, Jr., and Spencer Snoddy (Brandy); sister, June Peters; father- and mother-in-law, Joe and Theresa Platt; and a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Home Going Service will be conducted, Saturday, January 21, 2023, 11:00 a.m., Rayfield Baptist Church, 601 Indianapolis Ave., Muskogee, OK.

Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in Precious Memories Chapel-Muskogee
