Eddie Cooks, 74, laborer, formerly of Okmulgee, OK; passed away, August 28, 2014 in Seminole Hospital, Seminole, OK.
Eddie Lee Cooks was born to Richard Cooks and Isabelle Mitchell Cooks on November 12, 1939. He was the first born of three children, along with Anthony Richard Cooks and Annabelle Cooks-Grimmett.
Eddie attended school in Okmulgee, OK. he was a free spirited person who lived life to the fullest. He was mischievious, a jokester, helped anyone he could, loved to dress and travel.
Those who precede him in death are his mothers, Isabelle Mitchell Cooks and Lenovas M. Cooks, father, Richard Cooks, brother, Alfred L. Cooks and sister, Lenova E. Cooks.
He leaves to cherish his memories, seven brothers, Anthony R. (Debra) Cooks, Las Vegas, NV; Richard A. (Gwen) Cooks, Dennis C. (Barbarbra) Cooks, Okmulgee, OK; Ralph B. (Cherry) Cooks, Cecil R. (Angie) Cooks, Stewart B. Cooks, Jerrell D. (Claudine) Cooks, all of Tulsa, OK; five sisters, Annabelle Grimmett, Emma J. Jenkins, Renita F. Cooks, Eilene M. (Elrico) Cooks Palmer, all of Tulsa, OK; Esther L. (Larry) Mitchell, Okmulgee, OK; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted, Saturday, September 6, 2014, 10:00 a.m. Precious Memories Chapel, 607 E. 5th Street, Okmulgee, OK.
