A baby boy was born January 12 ^th , 1958 to Paralee and Floyd Mayhue. This bundle of joy was given the name, Edward Thornton Mayhue.

Edward attended Moton High School in Taft, OK.

Later in life he met Donna Lane and two children were born, Stephanie and Randy Mayhue.

After a long fight with his illness, Edward transitioned, May 24 ^th , 2017 at York Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by his family.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Randy, his brother, Pintoka Mayhue, brother-in-law, Sam Berry, Brother, Stanley Mayhue, sisters, Omega Mayhue, and Gloria Venters.

He leaves to mourn his passing, sisters, Dorothy (Don) Gladney, Lillie Powell, Bessie (Darnell) Hughes, Brenda Burnette, Ruth (Arthur) Leaks, Mary Berry, Anita Mayhue, (Twin) Edwina McKnight, Tara Mayhue, brothers, Floyd Mayhue and Derrick Mayhue, a special aunt, Bobbie Biggs, grandson, D'ong'e Mayhue and granddaughter, A'aliyah Mayhue, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Home Going Service is scheduled for Thursday, June 1, 2017, 1:00 p.m., Precious Memories Chapel 2200 Military Blvd, Muskogee, OK: with interment to follow in Taft Cemetery, Taft, OK.

Visitation will be Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
