Elijah Edward Lewis, 65, brick layer, a resident of Muskogee, OK; passed away, Monday, November 24, 2014 at Cornerstone Hospital.
Elijah Edward "Bronco" Lewis was born October 24, 1949 to Oscar and Martha Lewis, in Warner , OK.
Bronco attended Mt. Zion Elementary School, Warner, OK. Then attended Rentiesville High School, Rentiesville, OK.
Bronco accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Warner, OK.
He moved to Tulsa, OK; after high school, where he took some classes in Masonry.
Later in life he met Patricia Walker, and to this union three children were born, Elicia, Elijah and Patrick.
On January 1, 1984, Bronco married the love of his life, Beverly Stancle, and together they would raise, one daughter, Lisa Hill and one son, Kevin Hill.
Preceding Bronco in death are his parents, and ten siblings.
Those left to cherish his memories are three children, Elicia Walker, Elijah Walker and Patrick Walker, two step-children, Lisa Hill, and Kevin Hill, four sisters, Sylvator McMann, and Rosie Wright, both of Tulsa, OK; Amanda (Jimmy) Newman, and Lois Clemmons, both of Muskogee, OK; brother in-laws, Nathaniel (Jennifer) Stancle, Ronnie (Daisy) Stancle, Gary (Sharon) Stancle, all of Muskogee, OK; sister-in-laws, Linda Stancle, and Franciane Glenn, Muskogee, OK; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Home Going Celebration will be conducted, Friday, December 5, 2014, 11:00 a.m., Harvest Ministries Church, 2200 E. Okmulgee, Muskogee, OK; with Rev. Steven Washington, eulogizing. Interment will follow in Nancy Shepherd Cemetery, Warner, OK.
Visitation will be Thursday, 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
