On May 1, 1941 a precious son was born to Andrew and Alice Moore in Long Tree, Oklahoma.
Eugene was a funny and loving person, very hard working and loved his job painting. He loved going around the neighborhood visiting with his best friend Otis "Black" Shepard, he was a painter too.
Eugene had this dog named Pearl and she wouldn't let no one near him. He would even ride her around on the top of his car around town.
Eugene was better known as Marvin Gaye.
Eugene lived in Okmulgee, Oklahoma and attended Historical Dunbar High School. Eugene was a member of New Salem Baptist Church at an early age. During his school years Eugene met his sweetheart Charlesetta Shepherd and three beautiful daughters were born. Later in life Eugene met and married Mary Williams.
Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Williams Moore, his father, Andrew Moore and his mother Alice Moore Thornton, sisters, Catherine Jones, Corine Moore, Doretha Perry and Florine Moore, brothers, Andrew Moore Jr., James Wilson and Dave Dyers, nephews, David Perry, Corey Smith, Jermaine Hardy, Carlos Smith, Donald Smith and a great nephew, Miles Smith, who he loved and cherished all so much!
Mr. Moore leaves in the hands of God, his beautiful daughters, Sherry Moore Shepherd, Angela Moore Clemon, Kimberly Moore Bagby and loving grandchildren, Cardell Clemon, Reko Cooks (Demonta Harris), Atiya Jones, Brianna Harris, Tynesha Moore, Latoya Cook, Aaliyah Smith, Daniel Moore, Marisha Shaffer, Delthrisha Bagby, his favorite girls, Janice Smith, Sandra Benson, Deborah Perry, Nicole (Entron) Rollins, nieces, Kareen Perry, Kristian Perry, Evetta Smith, nephews, Kendall (Kenyatta) Smith, Leron (Karla) Smith, Xavier Benson, Winford (Maria) Perry, Bueford Perry, Alex Perry, along with a caravan of relatives and friends.
A Service of Memory will be conducted, Saturday, November 13,2021 at 2:00 P.M. in New Salem Baptist Church, 1300 E. Lafayette St. Okmulgee,OK with Pastor Harold White, eulogizing. Interment will follow in Sharps Memorial Gardens, Okmulgee,OK. Public visitation, Friday, Nov. 12th in the Precious Memories Chapel/House of Winn Funeral Home-Okmulgee during the hours of 1:00 P.M. -5:00 P.M.
