Obituary

Freddie Ann Jackson was born on November 14, 1952 to William and Janie B. Jackson in Kansas City, MO. At an early age, she professed her hope in Christ, and was baptized at Central Missionary Baptist Church of Muskogee. Freddie attended elementary school at Dunbar Elementary in Muskogee. She continued her education at Muskogee High School.

Being a very loyal hard worker, Freddie began her adult years working with Hamlin's restaurant. She had a strong faith and loved God. She never met a stranger and always had a smile on her face. She loved and tried to help everyone, sharing her love for growing plants and how to cook a favorite dish until her health began to fail.

On February 12, 2018 in Saint Francis Hospital of Muskogee, OK, the Lord in his infinite wisdom, relieved Freddie of her suffering, when he called his servant home from labor to reward. She was preceded in death by her mother Janie B. Jackson and father William H. Jackson, brothers, Johnnie (Bud) Jackson, Alphonso (Bo) Jackson and a sister Betty Jean Ray.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving son Roderick (Rod) Jackson of the home and her precious grandson Messiah (Bubba) Jackson, 4 sisters, Ethel Lee Kitchen and Fayetta Wilkerson of Detroit MI, Dollie Ross of Muskogee OK, Patricia Jackson of Rowlett, TX, 3 brothers, William Henry Jackson of Tulsa, OK, Matthew (Andy) Jackson of Oklahoma City, OK and Arthur James Jackson of McAlester OK. A very special friend Vernon Johnson, Earnestine Robinson, Alberta Eaton, Kenneth Lee and Albert Johnson. A special Aunt Helen Jackson and Uncle Herbert Lee Simmons, special nieces Sheena Ross and Rachel Adams who was there to help Freddie with anything she needed around the home during her illness. Special cousins, Bertha Lee Brown, Elizabeth Normore, Kelvin Williams and Diane Carter.  Shehan Parker, Little Vernon Johnson, and Brian Johnson whom she considered her sons. A host of other Nieces, Nephews, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled, Saturday, February 24, 2018, at 11:00 am, Central Missionary Baptist Church, 1400 Georgetown Ave., Muskogee, OK; with Rev. Hershey Hammons, eulogizing. Interment will follow in Booker T. Washington Cemetery, Muskogee, OK.

Visitation will be Friday, February 23, 2018, 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
