Public visitation, Friday, April 10, 2020 , 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m in the Precious Memories Chapel of HOUSE OF WINN FUNERAL HOME-Muskogee.
Frederick Douglas Swanson, better known as "Swamp" or "Dae Dae" to his loved ones, was born on January 1, 1950 to George Swanson and Jessie Randles in Haynes, Oklahoma.
He attended Phyllis Wheatley School in Gibson Station, Carter G. Woodson High School in Tullahassee, OK, and later earned a certificate in Diesel Mechanics from Indian Capital Technology Center in Muskogee. Throughout the years he worked as a laborer and was well known for his ability to train horses. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, coon hunting, driving his classic cars, horseback riding, spending time with family, and most definitely eating. He was an outspoken and witty guy who made everyone he encountered laugh.
On April 5, 2020, Swamp was called home. Preceding him in death were his parents, his brother Calvin Joe Swanson, his sisters Arzella Betts, Georgia Swanson, Ruby Lee Swanson, Merline Henry, Mary Ann Swanson, his son James Earl Youngblood and daughter Vonyonna Perry.
He will be remembered by his children Jackie Bryant, Brian Swanson, and Dawnyale Chandler; his sister Mary Duncan; his grandchildren Dameon Daniels (Tiffani), Vincient Youngblood, Monique Bryant, Jasmine Perry, Jordan Perry, De'Azia Chandler, Le'Dasia Chandler, Ladon Chandler, My'Asia Chandler, Christopher Chandler, Eri'Ann Chandler, Kristin Chandler, Brian Swanson, Bria Swanson, and Kelia Swanson; his great-grandchildren Quincy Daniels, Mckenzie White, Camdyn White, and Violet Youngblood; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other loved ones.
The family has been cared for by House of Winn Funeral Home, Muskogee.
