Georgia Mae Harjo was born on July 22, 1960, and passed away peacefully at home on May 11, 2025.
She is survived by her husband Richard Mangum Sr., son Richard Mangum Jr. (Winfield), daughter LaTaunia (Carl) Bahr (Henderson, Nevada), daughter Ta'Tanisha Mangum (Okmulgee, Oklahoma); sister Angela Harjo (Alpharetta, Georgia); niece KeNara Harjo (Las Vegas, NV), nephew Tariq Latchison (Alpharetta, GA), five grandchildren and three great grandchildren, nieces LaKeysha Royal, Sonja Royal, and Ashley Brown (all of Oklahoma City, OK). She is preceded in death by her father George Washington, mother Thelma Harjo and her sister Margaret Washington.
Georgia worked tirelessly at William Newton Memorial Hospital as a Certified Nurse's Aide for 36 years. She was deeply loved by her patients and her coworkers, and her presence left a lasting mark on the community she served with care and compassion.
Her love, her laughter, and her quiet strength will echo always.
A Home Going Service is scheduled, Saturday, May 17, 2025, 10:00 a.m., House of Winn Funeral Home, "Precious Memories Chapel", 607 E. Fifth Street, Okmulgee, OK; with Elder Booker Mangum, delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Okmulgee, OK.
There will be viewing at the service.
