On January 18, 1929 Idell and Webb Smith gave birth to their baby girl Gladys Christine Reed in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Majority of Gladys life was spent in the Okmulgee area. She was blessed with her daughters Barbra Byrd and Wilma Kinnard. She later brought a beautiful baby girl from the hospital Beverly Reed who she raised as her own child. Much later in life she was blessed with her only son Terrance "Boo-Boo" Reed Sr. Gladys has played an important part raising many of her grandchildren like Jerod "Pete " Byrd. She was a devote and faithful member of the Jehovah's Witness until her health and age no longer allowed her to attend. Gladys was blessed to have a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Graveside rites will be conducted, Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in Sharps Memorial Garden, with her son, minister Terrance Reed, eulogizing.

At the family request, the casket shall remain closed.
