Gwendola Piccola Hester, age 72, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.  She was born March 7th 1952 in Wichita, KS to Charles Johnson and Garvis (George) Williams.

Gwendola professed a love for Christ at an early age.  Seeking the Lord was her devotion.

She met met Ray L. Hester, Jr in 1972 and they were married on March 14, 1979.  They were married 52 years

Gwendola worked as a waitress for many years for Oklahoma State University-Tech, Okmulgee, OK; and retired due to her health.  She enjoyed fishing, hunting, sewing and helping Ray Jr. in the garden.

Preceding her in death were her parents, a son, Juan, her siblings, Guy, Greg, Garland Williams, Gay, Grace and Glenda.

Those left to cherish her memory, her husband, Ray Jr., of the home,  sons, Ray III, Terry and Larry, her daughter, Shavonda, 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, her sisters, Gail, Gloria, Glecia and Ginger and her aunt, Charlotte along with a host of other family member and friends that will miss her dearly.

Funeral Services are scheduled Friday, March 29, 2024, 11:00 am, Trumpet of Zion Church, 1316 E. Fourth Street, Okmulgee, OK; with Pastor Gracious Host, District Elder Cordell Overstreet , eulogizing. Visitation Thursday, 1-4pm.

Cremation to follow Funeral Services.
