Harland S. Rollins, age 71, a resident of Haskell, OK, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in his home surrounded by family.

Pete, as his friends and family know him, spent his life protecting, loving, and bringing laughter to those close to him. He was a hardworking man who loved fishing, spending time with all of his grandchildren, and making jewelry. Pete never missed an opportunity to help someone fix a tire, repair a car, or to make a child smile.

Pete is preceded in his passing by his mother, Viola May Tindle Rollins; his father, James Harland Rollins, his siblings, and his sons, Harland S. Rollins, Jr. and Jerry Hughes.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Rollins and several children including Billy (Dena) Hughes, Robert (Brenda) Hughes, Phillip (Billye) Hughes, Kathy Valentine & Jesse Castor, Ronald (Shannon) Hughes, Nickie (Dean) Hughes, Katie Barnett & Ramiro Mares, Benache (Vicky) Barnett, Sara Barnett & Benjamin Nsakashalo and Jerome (Stephanie) Barnett, With them are dozens of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members. All are very grateful for the time we shared with him during his 71 years of life on this earth and will carry him along with us in our hearts.

A Home Going Service is scheduled, Wednesday, May 16, 2018, 2:00 p.m., First Baptist Church, 1401 N Haskell Blvd, Haskell, OK; with Rev. James Stewart, eulogizing.  Interment will follow in Friday Cemetery, Haskell, OK.

Visitation will be Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
