On October 30, 1941, a loving son was born to Herbert Jordan Sr. and Lurline Bruner in Nuyaka, OK.

Herbert Kermitt Jordan,  grew up and attended school in Nuyaka, OK. Mr. Jordan after his mother's death was raised by his grandparents, Mr. Coley Banks and Luella Benson Jordan along with Andrew Alexander and Frankie Mae, his cousins. Herbert spent most of his time in the Beggs and Okmulgee area.

After graduating, Herbert enlisted in the United States Army and later, was honorably discharged. He met and later united in marriage to Helen Redeau Jordan, April 10, 1970. They moved to Okmulgee and raised five children.


Puddin, as he was affectionately called by his family friends was known for playing game of dominoes.  He enjoyed being around family and friends.

Herbert was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Jordan.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Helen Redeau Jordan, Tulsa, OK; two daughters, Angelique Redeau Jordan, Glenpool, OK; and Lasonya Hanson, Okmulgee, OK; four sons, Timothy Eugene Jordan, Bryan Leroy Jordan, Coley David Jordan and Herbert Banks Jordan, Twin Hills area; brothers, Hubert White, Okmulgee, OK; and Willie Jordan, Arizona; seven sisters and brothers in Arizona, Herbert Jordan, Darrell Jordan, Dewayne Jordan, Nadine Glass, Dorene Davis, Curtis Jordan, and Lena Ayers; fourteen grandchildren and his cousins from Arizona, Willa Lovett and Claudette Jordan along with a host of family and friends in the surrounding area.

A Wake Service will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017, 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., House of Winn Funeral Home, 607 East Fifth St, Okmulgee, OK.
