Herbert Wayne Talton, aka Lockey, was born September 30, 1941. He was the 5th child born born to Chris Sr. and Emegine Talton.

Lockey was a true outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish with his family and friends and was an expert at noodling. As a young man, Lockey served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was wedded to Joanne Reed.

Lockey was preceded in death by his parents Chris Sr. and Emegine, his wife Joanne and one brother Chris Jr.

He leaves to mourn his passing three sisters, Patsy Parker and Verna Cole of Oklahoma City, OK and Deborah Ibe (Michael) of Arlington, TX, four brothers Tommy Talton (Vonda), Charles Talton (Nannye B), Fred Williams (Linda) and Gay Talton (Leatrice) of Okmulgee, OK, two aunts, Leola White of Okmulgee, OK and Gertrude Randle of Kansas City, MO along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and close friends.

The family of Herbert Talton would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and condolences. He was a good brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

A Home Going Service is scheduled, Wednesday, June 20, 2018, 11:00 a.m., Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1500 N. Miami St., Okmulgee, OK. Interment will follow in Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson, OK; with military honors performed by the Ft. Sill Honor Guard.

Visitation will be Tuesday 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
