Houston Gaston, age 74, a resident of Muskogee,OK
passed away, Saturday June 14, 2014 in Pleasant Valley Nursing Home.
On Saturday, June 14, 2014, a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, was called to rest in peace.
Houston was born to Rose Casey and Stacy Gaston in Haynes, Oklahoma on February 9, 1940.
Houston entered the workforce at a young age and was a hardworking man. Houston was a strong willed a private man who a had love for life. Houston worked for numerous years as a commercial truck driver and he enjoyed traveling. He lived in Oklahoma, Kansas and California throughout his adulthood. Houston enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Prior to his health failing, Houston spent quality time with those he loved, sharing memories and reflecting over his life.
Houston was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Harvey "Jack" Campbell, Clarence Paige and Stacy Gaston Jr.
Houston leaves to cherish his memory, his wife; Rosia Gaston, Kansas, biological children; Ryan Gaston (Sonya) and Neshara Gaston as well as step-children; Nina, Rodney (Stephanie) and Natalie Gaston, James, John, Linda and Katherine Griffin. He also leaves to cherish his memory, siblings; Ernestine Robinson (Johnson), Raymond, Alberta, Albert and Vernon Johnson, Calvin Jones, Kenneth Lee and Andrew Gaston, two grandsons, Trey and Christian, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A Service of Memory, will be conducted, Thursday, June 19,2014
at 11:00 a.m. in the Rayfield Baptist Church, 601 Indianapolis Street
Muskogee,OK.
Interment will follow in Booker T. Washington cemetery.
The family has been cared for by Granger-House of Winn Funeral Home.
