Wherefore it has pleased our Lord and Savior to call from labor to reward our beloved Ida Mae Jones, who departed this life on Sunday, May 13, 2018 in Eufaula Manor, Eufaula, OK.

Ida Mae, daughter of the late Robert and Lula Brown, was born August 2, 1908 in Waco, TX.

The spiritual guidance she received was maintained throughout her life  as she remained steadfast in her faith and sought through her actions to magnify the Lord.

Ida met and married Omer Jones and to this union five sons were born.

Ida loved life.  She took pleasure in her family and friends, cooking and being domestic.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Robert and Will Earnest Jones.

Those left to cherish her memory, three sons, Leroy Jones and Hoover Jones, both of Rentiesville, OK; and Famous Jones, Topeka, KS; numerous grand children and great-grandchildren, her sister, Stella Dennis, Pasadena, CA; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

A Home Going Service will be conducted, Saturday, May 19, 2018, 11:00 a.m., Mt. Olive Star Baptist Church, Checotah, OK; with Rev. Sanford Nero delivering the eulogy.  Interment will be Monday, May 21, 2018, 11:00 a.m., Greenhill Cemetery, Muskogee, OK.

Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
