Ira Lee Wilson was born January 24, 1955 to James and Ruth Ella (McClain) Wilson. They instilled a love for God early in his life. God saw fit to call him home on Saturday, June 17, 2017.

Ira began his early education in Gibsland, Louisiana and concluded his secondary education in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Ira was a very outgoing person. He loved spending time with family and friends. He loved to sing. He was a compassionate and goodhearted person. Ira had the opportunity to share his love with a great number of people during his lifetime. He was a skillful mason and carpenter that worked well with his craftsman tools, but most importantly with his God given instruments.

Preceding him in death are his paternal and maternal grandparents and his father James Wilson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda Wilson, mother, Ruth Wilson, his daughters, Shymekia (Shawn) Adams and Jonolia Wilson. Three step children, seven grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends that will miss him.

A Home Going Service is scheduled, Saturday, June 24, 2017, 11:00 a.m., Christ Kingdom Builders Church, 1801 Baltimore Ave, Muskogee, OK; with Rev. Chester Jackson delivering the eulogy.  Interment will follow in Booker T. Washington Cemetery, Muskogee, OK.

Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A Wake service will follow at 6:00 p.m.
