Obituary

James "Jackie" Clark began this earthly life on August 1, 1956 in Beggs, OK; to Grace Maxine Beard and Leo F. Clark. He was the first of three children born to Maxine.

After the Lord called his mother home at a young age, Jackie was lovingly nurtured by his grandparents Vernice and Emmanuel Clark. Jackie spent his early teenage years in Seattle, Washington before returning to Beggs, OK;  where he would graduate in 1974. After graduation, Jackie joined the United States Army in 1975, serving in Germany and later received an honorable discharge.

Jackie was a member of the Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church in the Tolon community. He rededicated his life to Christ on November 23, 2017 at First Baptist Church South – Beggs, OK, where he was baptized under the direction of Pastor Greg Lewis.

Jackie was employed as an oil field technician – a career that he was dedicated to for over 20 years. Jackie loved his family and was always willing to help anyone in need. He will be remembered fondly for always having a smile for everyone he met.
